The College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) plays a crucial role in a student's college education, providing them with a broad and thorough understanding of human culture, history, philosophy, literature, language, and the arts. In the CAHSS Summer Institute, students explore today's society through cultural, political, and social lenses. They delve into exciting areas such as digital music creation, language and cultural elements of specific regions, and public service by grasping political issues and policy ideas. The main goal is to contribute to making the world a better place! By understanding their role and the roles of others in society, students can actively contribute to the growth of societies, both locally and globally. This dynamic learning environment involves interacting with EOU faculty and students from various regions, making the educational experience engaging and enriching.
At the COB Institute, students also learn important skills like networking (connecting with people) and adapting to changes in their future work environments. These skills help them stay updated on what's happening in different industries and handle challenges that may arise. Understanding their role and the roles of others in society empowers students to make informed decisions that contribute to the growth of both local and global communities.
